Bravo
Biopic Pitch.
The story of Aldolfo Bresciano, known the world over as professional wrestler DINO BRAVO, who in 1992 joined the mafia in Montreal, only to be brutally and mysteriously murdered one year later.
“KAYFABE“
The act, or more accurately lifestyle, in which wrestlers maintain their characters and feuds in and out of the ring. Done to conceal wrestling being fake, in order to protect the business. Out of respect for this secret undertaking, wrestlers refer to one another as “brother”.
“LA COSA NOSTRA”
Italian, meaning “our thing” or “he is the same as you”. A statement to let mafia members know they can trust an individual to understand the rules and keep the secrets of their business safe. If you were deemed “cosa nostra”, you were considered part of the “family”.
“Basically, back then, the wrestling business was just like the mob. People involved with both of those businesses had to know how to keep a secret.”
- Wrestling Legend, Gary Hart
“He was not afraid of anything. He was not even afraid for his life. The thing he was afraid of was not knowing where his life was going.”
- Diane Bresciano, wife of Dino Bravo
